Congratulations, Mommy Trina and Daddy Ryan!
Being a first-time parent is no easy task. This was the realization of former child star and now mom Trina Legaspi after giving birth to her daughter Kaela last week.
Trina, more popularly known as Hopia, gave birth to her first child with non-showbiz husband Ryan Jarina last March 13.
On her Instagram post today, March 20, she shared what it was like taking care of a newborn for the past seven days.
“8 hours of labor and 1 hour of pushing, thank you Lord for giving me the strength!!
“Welcome to the world, Baby Kaela! Parang nag-slow mo 'nung narinig ko na iyak niya, sobrang surreal, 'di ko mapigilan umiyak. You are worth all the pain our baby girl. Daddy and I love you so much!”
She added, “As first time parents, totoo nga po ang sabi nila, 1 week na po kaming walang tulog ni @ryan_jarina.”
In addition, Trina also expressed her gratitude for the medical team that took care of her, too.
“Thank you Lord for using the people in the room, Doc. Ces (OB), Doc. Shane (Anesthesiologist) and Doc. Vicky Sison (Pedia) to help me bring Kaela safely and also to our Jarina and Legaspi families for constantly praying for us.”
After confirming the news that she has given birth and sharing some cute photos of Kaela, Trina got a deluge of congratulatory posts from fellow celebrities including Jason Abalos, Kitkat, and Alex Diaz.

The Jarina couple got engaged in the middle of the pandemic in December 2020 after six years of being in a relationship.
Their first wedding happened in 2021 and a year later, they exchanged “I Do's” again at Christ the King in November 2022.
