The outfit was inspired by a popular local festival celebrated every November.
Eat Bulaga host Paolo Ballesteros proudly showed off the national costume that he designed for Binibining Pilipinas candidate Honey Cartasano.
The public can vote for their favorite national costume via the Binibining Pilipinas website and TikTok account.
The outfit has earned praises and admiration from fellow celebrities and Paolo's friends.
“This is brilliant! What a beautiful and creative way to express our love for our county and strengthen our culture!” said singer Geneva Cruz about the outfit.
Some of Paolo's followers correctly guessed the inspiration behind the design - the famed Higantes Festival celebrated every November in Angono, Rizal.
Honey is representing the province of Rizal in the pageant.
Meanwhile, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) has announced that the coronation night for Binibining Pilipinas 2021 will be on July 11 at the Araneta Center.
Hosting the event are Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves.
