Bea Alonzo wore a vintage Dior dress at the GMA Thanksgiving Gala.
The GMA Thanksgiving Gala was the perfect time for Start Up Ph actress Bea Alonzo to promote sustainable tourism.
With the theme of Old Hollywood Glam, Bea walked the red carpet with boyfriend Dominic Roque while wearing a vintage Dior dress by John Galliano from 1998.
"I was very much present, and I really wanted to promote sustainable fashion by wearing an old dress. Parang feeling ko, bagay siya doon sa theme ng event 'cause Old Hollywood Glam 'yung theme," she told GMANetwork.com.
She stressed, "Now's the perfect time to wear a vintage dress."
On her Instagram post, Bea further explained her ball dress designed by the Spanish designer.
She wrote, "Galliano's penchant for old movies and theater is evident in the look of the dress and honors the golden age of Hollywood. So, we thought it would go well with the theme.
"We wanted to give a beautiful vintage dress a moment and give it a classic yet contemporary spin, hence the cape by the very talented @rajolaurel 😘
"The look was finished with a beautiful bag from Bea Valdes and sparkly heels from Versace."
The GMA Thanksgiving Gala was not all glitz and glamour as it was also a fund-raising event for the benefit of GMA Kapuso Foundation.
Aside from building and rehabilitating schools in Southern Leyte, part of the proceeds will be also be used to help family in Abra that were affected by the recent magniture 7 earthquake.
