Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi

Here's how Kyline and Mavy achieved their glamorous old Hollywood looks and photos.

Days before the first ever GMA Thanksgiving Gala, Sparkle artists Kyline Alcantara and Mavy Legaspi teased their fans with photos that pay homage to a few Hollywood classic films and icons.

Kyline and Mavy re-created scenes from iconic films such as Scarface and Casablanca, and channeled their inner Cher and James Bond for their individual photoshoots. From the clothes to the set design, everything was oozing with old Hollywood glamour.

And in a new vlog uploaded on Kyline's YouTube channel, the Sparkle artist shared what went down during the shoot and how the overall concept came about.

As the hands-on artists that they are, Mavy and Kyline, together with their team, conceptualized every part of the "playshoot." The Sparkle artists chose every detail of the shoot, from choosing the films to determining their looks.

In the video, Kyline first showed their rendition of the film Scarface. In case you didn't know, Scarface is a 1983 crime drama film that stars iconic Hollywood actors Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer.

For the shoot, Mavy channeled a bad boy look to mimic Al Pacino's character Tony Montana. Mavy's hair was modernized with the K-pop-inspired waves and bangs.

Kyline, on the other hand, took inspiration from Michelle Pfeiffer's character Elvira Hancock. She wore an '80s-style makeup look, using nude colors, wing eyeliners, and glossy lips. Instead of the blonde hair, Kyline put on a black bob to give it a more Filipina look.

Afterward, Kyline and Mavy put on a look inspired by the film Casablanca. The monochromatic Hollywood romantic drama film released in 1942 stars Hollywood actors Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.

Set designer Justin Arcega-Bumanlag re-created the iconic Rick's Cafe from the film. Mavy and Kyline wore matching white suits to channel Rick Blaine and Ilsa Lund's characters.

For their individual shoots, Kyline re-created Cher's '70s look and wore a dazzling gown and long straight hair that was distinctive of the legendary singer-actress.

Meanwhile, Mavy wore a custom Ziggy Savella suit and matching bow tie to cop James Bond's clean, sleek look. The velvet background and photo style added to the whole classic Hollywood look.
