If there's one word that best describes Pokwang, it is "exceptional."
From being a stand-up comedienne, she transformed herself into a top-notch performer earning awards for her impeccable comedic timing and brilliant performance as a drama actress.
As a comedy actress, Pokwang received two recognitions from the PMPC Star Awards in 2007 and 2012.
She also bagged the Bert Marcelo Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Last year, Pokwang received the Dolphy King of Comedy Award in FAMAS.
Pokwang's versatility as a drama actress shined in the movie 'Oda sa Wala,' which earned her an acting award at the 6th Urduja Film Festival Heritage Film Awards 2019.
In June 2021, Pokwang opened a new chapter in her showbiz career as she signed a management contract with GMA Artist Center, the talent management arm of GMA Network.
