Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid stayed in a hotel quarantine before he went to the lock-in taping of his upcoming action-adventure series Lolong.
While confined in his room, Ruru was still able to squeeze in a workout.
He brought with him some weights and other exercise equipment to help him keep fit.
Ruru was extra motivated to stay in shape as he took a different approach for his body transformation this time.
"Sobrang nag-struggle ako kasi this is the first na iniba ko 'yung training ko. I used to be sobrang payat, this time ang goal ko maging mas ripped at shredded for this project. Gusto ko lang maging fit sa role ko," he shared in a previous interview.
He also took a different approach to his diet.
"Right now I'm doing carb cycling, four days na low-carb, basically pinakamalakas na carb intake ko is 50 grams a day. Ang protein ko 200 grams daily. Mayroon akong one day na 300 grams na carbs. Medyo tricky kasi first time ko ginawa itong diet na ito but effective naman so far. At least nakakakain pa rin nang tama," he explains.
Ruru is set to play the titular Lolong, a young man who has the unique ability to communicate with a giant crocodile named Dakila.
