'First Yaya' stars Sanya Lopez, Gabby Concepcion, and Kakai Bautista continue bonding off their set!
Sanya Lopez is giving us major summer vibes as she and her First Yaya co-star Kakai Bautista go on a beach trip at Gabby Concepcion's resort in Batangas.
Sanya currently headlines GMA Network's newest Kapuso rom-com series opposite Gabby. The Kapuso stars along with their fellow cast members have undergone three lock-in tapings since the start of their production.
As a breather from work, Sanya and Kakai paid Gabby a visit at his beach resort. This was the actor's provincial home where he spent most of the quarantine period before resuming work in showbiz.
Sanya and Kakai shared snippets of their beach getaway via their social media accounts.
But what stole the show was Sanya's series of bikini photos.
She wrote, "Let the sea set you free."
Her other First Yaya co-star Maxine Medina even commented, “Ganda ganda.”
Sanya shot to fame as Sang'gre Danaya in the 2016 remake of Encantadia. The role was originally played by Diana Zubiri. Prior to bagging the role in the fantasy series, she was part of The Half Sisters (2014 to 2016) and Millionaire's Wife (2016). Her next starring TV role was as Angela on the afternoon drama Haplos (2017 to 2018), as Margaret Tolentino on the primetime action series, Cain at Abel (2018 to 2019) that starred Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo, and as Mariel on Dahil sa Pag-ibig (2019).
Sanya was discovered by the late German Moreno on the set of the now-defunct show Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman where his brother and also a Kapuso artist Jak Roberto, was a mainstay of the show at the time. She later joined her brother in the same show as one of the hosts. Since then, Sanya would be seen as a guest artist on various drama shows of the network.
In First Yaya, Sanya plays the role of Melody, an ordinary woman who gets to lead an extraordinary life as the nanny of the children of a widower Philippine Vice-President who eventually becomes the President by accession and election. Despite social and familial obstacles and struggles, the bond between yaya Melody Reyes and country leader Glenn Acosta played by Gabby Concepcion prevails and blossoms into something beautiful, heart-warming, and exciting. But unbeknown to them, a dark secret from the past--involving both their families--could possibly destroy their intricate and already-complicated relationship, forever threatening their “happily-ever-after”. The series had its pilot episode last March 15, 2021.
