Iya Villania

While she received a go signal from her doctor to do a light workout, Iya Villania clarified that she's in no rush to get 'sexy' after giving birth to her fourth child, Astro Phoenix.

Two weeks after giving birth to her fourth child, fitness buff Iya Villania is back to working out.

The Chika Minute host wowed her followers after she showed a video of her doing pull-ups in her Instagram post on Saturday, June 18.

"With my doctor's go signal I was able to start on a light workout today. Also, got to see whether I could still pull up or not… and the verdict?" she asked.

Iya then looked back at the time when she ended up bleeding more when she exercised two days after giving birth to her second child, Leon.

"I tried this before, 2 days after delivering Leon, and boy was that a mistake. I ended up bleeding more. So pls wait until bleeding subsides before you guys start working out again. Those who had a CS may need to wait it out a little longer before working out again."

In the same post, Iya revealed that she only tried to do pull-ups and did only two to three single repetitions of it. Her post-delivery workout consists of 15-minute biking and dynamic stretching with light weights as her regular warm-up.

She shared, "Disclaimer: My workout only consisted of a 15min bike and my regular warm-up (dynamic stretching) with light weights which is about another 15mins. On top of that, I did breathing exercises to refamiliarize my core with proper engagement and use (check out @deliciouslyfitnhealthy ).

"My workout DID NOT have pull-ups! I only tested out 2-3 SINGLE reps to see whether I still had my pulling strength (out of my own curiosity ) and was pleasantly surprised to discover I still did and posted this to celebrate that ."

Iya clarified that she's in no rush to get "sexy" but to showcase how working out allowed her to enjoy a faster recovery.

She added, "But having prepared my body for pregnancy and having the healthiest one so far (out of the 4), it's allowed me to enjoy a faster recovery and if it's something I can do, I know it's something many other mamas can enjoy too."

Iya also noted that her fitness journey during her pregnancy is a win-win situation as she spared herself from postpartum depression.

"A healthy and strong mama makes a happy home. There's nothing like being able for your family, not because you're forcing it, but because you've conditioned your body and are simply able to

"The 4th trimester is crucial for recovering mamas and getting a night nurse and working out soon after delivery has been my winning combination postpartum and has spared me from PPD.

"This has been my journey, and I know it's different for others. There's nothing I could want more for other mamas than to have a healthy and safe pregnancy."

Iya and her husband, Drew Arellano, welcomed their fourth child, Astro Phoenix, last June 4.
