
Former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach has arrived at the Big Apple ahead of the New York City (NYC) marathon she will be participating.
In an Instagram post, the beauty queen said she is taking it easy in anticipation of the marathon.
"Finally arrived in NYC! Taking it easy this week in preparation for the marathon this coming Sunday,” Pia wrote in the caption.
“So much feels being back in the city, a place I once called home,” she mused.
Her followers and other local personalities have also extended their good luck to Pia in the post.
Renowned designer Rajo Laurel said, "Good luck w[ith] your run!!! We're rooting for you.”
Drag Race Philippines judge Jiggly Caliente also gave her vote of confidence to Pia.
"Best of luck in the marathon. You're gonna slay as usual,” she commented.
Meanwhile, beauty queen Michelle Dee said, “queen fuegoooo.”
Pia's sister also commented, “Pre-approved by me. Ganda mo as usual sis.”
A few months ago, Pia announced that she is training for the NYC marathon, which will serve as her first-ever marathon.
Pia also regularly shares updates regarding her training, including the jitters and setbacks she experienced.
Last month, Pia said the goal is to complete the marathon, despite the challenges.
"So now the goal is to just finish the marathon. No matter how slow or fast it'll take me. I realized that this isn't a pageant. I'm not competing against anyone but myself,” she wrote in an earlier Instagram post.
