Award-winning journalist Kara David admits that she uses cauliflower as a rice substitute in her bid to be healthier.

Cauliflower promotes the feeling of fullness as it is high in fiber and 92% of its weight is water.

Because of this, cauliflower has become one of the favorite substitutes for rice.

Cauliflower is also very nutritious. It is rich in fiber, folate, potassium, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus and vitamins C, K, and B6.

Award-winning journalist Kara David admits that she uses cauliflower as a rice substitute in her bid to be healthier.

How to prepare

  1. Wash the cauliflower head thoroughly
  2. Grate using a cheese grater
  3. Saute with garlic and onion
  4. Add salt to taste
  5. Add beaten egg
  6. Toss until the egg is cooked fully
