
Pinas Sarap host Kara David recently explored the Buhatan River in Sorsogon and discovered two delicious dishes perfect for the Holy Week: Tinilmok and Kinunot na Tilapia.

Before a river cruise was established in 2015, the Buhatan River was almost dead due to pollution. But thanks to the persistent efforts of the local government and the community, the river was brought back to life.
And now that Buhatan River's vigor has returned, the river cruise provides the livelihood for the locals. Plus, they also get to enjoy the bountiful harvest from the river.
After going on a cruise along Buhatan River, Kara tried her hand at making baits and harvesting shrimps or kulasi.
Tinilmok
She then learned how to make the Tamales look-alike shrimp dish, Kinagang a.ka. Tinilmok, and another seafood dish called Kinunot na Tilapia.
