Setting her privilege aside, Juliana Gomez still goes back to her roots as a native Filipino.
This is proven through her favorite Pinoy dish that many enjoy eating, too.
What could it be?
Well, based on her Instagram post, her favorite dish is the local meal “tuyo, itlog na pula, kamatis” combo.
She wrote, “Missing my favorite weekday lunch spot a little extra today.”
To make the dish more appetizing and refreshing, she partnered it with “bagoong” or shrimp paste and a lemonade drink.
Juliana, together with her parents Lucy Torres Gomez and Richard Gomez, currently lives in Ormoc City where her dad serves as the mayor.
Living in the province has made such a huge influence on her, especially with the dishes she loves.
The family has grown their own garden in the vicinity of their home where they planted vegetables like tomatoes, papaya, and basil. They also nurtured ducks and chicken in their backyard.
Meanwhile, prior to this, Mayor Richard has encouraged the public, especially his constituents, to adopt to backyard gardening to avoid hunger due to the implementation of enhanced community quarantine.
