Okra, or Lady Finger in English as it resembles the shape of a woman's fingers, is one of the vegetables you can easily find in the market.

According to Pinas Sarap host Kara David's research, okra is believed to have originated in India, where it is called bhindi.

And in a recent episode of Pinas Sarap's ECQusina live cooking show on Facebook. Kara shared her okra curry recipe, which is inspired by the Indian dish Bhindi Masala (okra sauce/curry), but with a Filipino twist.LINK:

To recreate Kara David's Okra Curry recipe, you'll need the following ingredients:

  1. Okra
  2. Tomatoes
  3. Onions
  4. Garlic
  5. Ginger
  6. Curry powder
  7. Sili Haba/ green chili pepper
  8. Gata/coconut milk
  9. Giniling/ground meat
  10. Patis/fish sauce
  11. Pepper
  12. Sugar
  13. Cooking oil
