Bubble pods are tansparent dome-shaped rooms. They were first used in hotels in other countries such as Iceland.

The original inspiration behind it is to have a 360-view of nature and experience sleeping under the stars while inside a “bubble.” Hence, the term “bubble pod.”

However, when the pandemic struck, the purpose of the bubble pods evolved from merely being a fun and unique accommodation into a protective barrier or a perfect way to implement social distancing.

Nowadays, it is also being used by restaurants all over the world. In fact, the Sheraton Manila Hotel has unveiled its own version of it. It is said to be the first luxury outdoor pod in the country, and they call it “Vubble.”

The name “Vubble” was coined from the hotel's Vega pool and the term “bubble.”

The Vubble not only lets you and your date enjoy a sumptuous meal within the safety of the bubble pod, but it also gives you an amazing 360-view of the hotel's outdoor area, including the pool.

At night, each Vubble lights up, creating an even more romantic ambiance for the diners.

But that's not all. Lovebirds can also have a relaxing massage inside one of the Vubbles.

Of course, since we are still in the midst of pandemic, safety protocols are in place in this one-of-a-kind dining experience.

Guests are required to wear their face masks and face shields before entering the hotel's premises.

They would also have to undergo temperature check through a thermal scanner and sanitize their hands using a hands-free dispenser.

Inside each Vubble, there's a plastic barrier in the middle of the dining table for the guests' protection.

They will also be given wet wipes so they could disinfect their hands before dining.

Each Vubble can accommodate up to four persons, so you can actually have a dinner date inside it with three other loved ones.
