Time to level-up your pancit canton cooking skills with these unique recipes.

Is your pancit canton game strong? You've probably tried many other ways to cook and enjoy the affordable and easy-to-cook pancit canton. But have you tried making samosa or kimbap using pancit canton?

You read that right. The Pinoy favorite pancit canton can be used to prepare international snacks such as the samosa of South Asia and the kimbap of our East Asian neighbor, Korea.

So, if you want to try these unique and delicious pancit canton dishes with international twists, below are the ingredients and procedure on how to make pancit canton samosa and pancit canton square kimbap, as shared on Pinas Sarap.

Pancit canton samosa

A Filipina based in Japan named Ail Yamaura shared this amazing Indian dish, which has a Filipino twist since she incorporated pancit canton to it.

Ingredients:
Potatoes
Instant noodles/pancit canton noodles
Onions
Salt
Pepper
Ginger
Garlic
Lumpia wrapper
Curry powder

Procedure:
1. Boil water and add potatoes.
2. Let the potatoes sit there for 15 minutes.
3. Once the potatoes have softened, set them aside.
4. Boil the instant noodles and set aside.
5. Heat the wok and add the onions.
6. Season with salt.
7. Add garlic and ginger.
8. Add the pre-cooked potatoes.
9. Mash the potatoes, but make sure to leave some chunks.
10. Add curry powder and season with salt and pepper.
11. Add water.
12. Add the pre-cooked noodles.
13. Let the cooked samosa mixture cool.
14. Fold the lumpia wrapper into half then fold the other half into a triangle.
15. Holding the tip at the center, fold the wrapper again into a triangle.
16. Brush some paste onto the seams of the wrappers and continue folding it into another layer of a triangle.
17. Fill the center of the folded wrapper with the cooled samosa mixture or filling.
18. Put some paste to the tip of the wrapper before folding.
19. Fry the samosas over medium heat.

Pancit canton square kimbap

A Pinay hotel cook form Taytay, Rizal named Christine Cruz also shared her own version of the Korean square kimbap, which uses pancit canton as one of its ingredients.

Ingredients:
Nori wrapper
Kimchi
Rice
Lettuce
Pancit canton
Japanese mayonnaise

Procedure:
1. Cook the pancit canton as you usually do.
2. Put rice onto the nori wrapper.
3. Flatten the rice.
4. Add the noodles, lettuce, kimchi and sliced cheese.
5. You can also add Japanese mayo on top of the flattened rice.
6. Fold the assembled kimbap and enjoy.
