spaghetti

Learn how to make this Italian pasta dish from reality TV winner chef.

Italy is famous for its tourist attractions and religious sites such as Vatican City's St. Peter's Basilica and Sistine Chapel, Rome's Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, and the dreamy Amalfi Coast in Positano in the province of Salerno. Plus, it is also known for producing high performance sports cars like Lamborghini, Ferrari, and many others.

But what Italy is really known for is that, it's the birthplace of pizza and pasta. When one talks of Italian cuisine, these two are always top of mind.

However, unlike the Filipino version of the spaghetti--which is sweet--Italy's take on the pasta dish leans more toward the sour side.

In an episode of iJuander, Filipino chef Morris Danzen Catanghal, who is based in Sicily, Italy, and grand champion of the reality TV cooking competition, Gino Cerca Chef, shared the recipe for Spaghetti con Ragu di Polpo or Spaghetti with Octopus in Ragu Sauce.

If you want to try this authentic Italian pasta dish, check out the recipe below.
