Surfing champion Philmar Alipayo faced one of the most difficult challenges in his life after revealing yesterday on Instagram (April 22) that he would undergo a medical procedure.
According to the fiancé of Andi Eigenmann that he needs a transesophageal echocardiogram.
Meanwhile, in a separate post on Instagram Story, Andi stated that Philmar has a congenital heart defect and this procedure will alleviate some difficulty he is experiencing.
“Well wishes for papa @chepoxz as he goes under a transesophageal echocardiogram procedure today ( to relieve a bit of difficulty he has been experiencing from a congenital heart defect). Hopefully he will be back to his 100% soon after.” Andi shared.
Based on the information from the stanfordhealthcare.org, a transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) is an imaging test that uses sound waves to produce high-quality, moving pictures of the heart. An echocardiogram (echo) shows the size and shape of the heart and details of the heart's internal structures.
What's more, TEE is used to assess how well the heart's chambers, valves, and blood vessels are working. And to check for blood clots in the heart
Andi also left this simple reminder to everyone that will see her posts saying, “You never have any idea what people are dealing with in their personal life. So, just be nice. It's that simple.”
The daughter of the late showbiz icon Jaclyn Jose gave another update about Philmar's condition a few hours after and said, “Yayyy. Turned out better than expected. Tyl @chepoxz good to go again.”
Andi got engaged to Philmar in December 2020 and they have two children, Lilo and Koa. She also has another daughter Ellie with her ex Jake Ejercito.
