Maiqui Pineda gets an early Christmas present after learning that she is now in “clinical remission.”
Robi Domingo and his wife Maiqui Pineda got their biggest “Christmas miracle” this year.
Robi's wife is battling a rare form of disease called dermatomyositis, which according to hopkinsmedicine.org is a rare disease that causes muscle inflammation and skin rash. It's one of a group of muscle diseases that cause muscle inflammation and swelling, as well as skin problems.
Last month, the couple traveled to Singapore for Maiqui's health checkup and there they got the special news.
Maiqui recalled in her Instagram post, “My doctor officially told me that I'm in clinical remission!
“Clinical remission means that the signs and symptoms of my autoimmune disease are now barely detectable, even if the disease may not be completely cured.
“In short - I'M OKAY!
“Hearing those words during our trip to Singapore in November brought tears to our eyes, especially when my doctor called me a 'Christmas miracle.'”
For Robi's part, he reposted a photo with his wife on Instagram Story and wrote in the captions, “Christmas miracle.”

Even other celebrities were ecstatic with the good news Maiqui received, including It's Showtime host Anne Curtis who commented on her IG post, “Awesome news. Happy HAPPY holidays! Marqui and Robi!”

Robi got engaged with Maiqui in November 2022 in Japan and they tied the knot at the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Isidro Labrador in Pulilan, Bulacan in January this year.
