Pianist Angelo Ortiz gives back confidence to cancer survivors

This award-winning concert pianist has found a way to help cancer survivors gain their confidence back.

Cancer and cancer treatment can leave a big blow to a person's confidence.

This is why award-winning concert pianist and brow artist Angelo Ortiz aims to give back this confidence to cancer survivors via a pair of sexy brows through microblading.

Angelo is a certified and registered practitioner of the American Academy of Micropigmentation in New York, and Beverly Hills.

As a brow artist who has set up shop in both the US and the Philippines, he has dealt with many clients who have told him of their battle with cancer.

"Most of my clients are cancer survivors who have lost their hair during their treatment and recovery. I then learned that most of them never grew their hair back completely leaving their brows or scalp patchy," he tells GMANetwork.com.

"After hearing their painful journey in their treatment and as a way of congratulating them for being strong as a warrior, I then felt that the best way to uplift their souls and give back their confidence is to gift them with a pair of sexy brows or a micro pigment cover up in their patchy scalp.

"In this way, I can share my talent in making people not only look good but feel better about themselves," he adds.

His cause is called Brows for the Big C, where the "C" stands for "confidence."

"In this way, I can share my talent in making people not only look good but feel better about themselves.

"Most cancer survivors have exhausted a lot of their savings in treatment and they felt that procedures like this is not a priority anymore that is why I give this them for free so they can get their brow confidence back.

"So wherever I go, I give free service as my beauty advocacy to cancer survivors," Angelo shares.

Angelo has reminders for cancer survivors who might want to get microblading done.

"Well first of all, they should be cleared and have survived the disease.

"They should be permitted by their doctor to proceed with the procedure. Though micropigment procedures are classified as a non-invasive procedure, a healthy immune system is still important in the process of healing to achieve the desired results," he explains.

Angelo is the founder of Browlesque, The Art of Sexy Brows which has locations in Quezon City and in Beverly Hills.
