In the recent episode of 'The Healthy Juan,' experts talk about the parasitic disease that killed Filipino journalist Reyster Langit.

Parasites can enter the bodies and infect humans with different kinds of diseases. In the recent episode of The Healthy Juan, parasitic diseases like Malaria were among the topics discussed.

Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease that attacks the red blood cells of humans. In 2005, it made the headlines as it killed 32-year-old media reporter and documentarist Reyster Langit who spent a week doing a documentary about it in Palawan.

As compared to the dengue mosquitos which dwell in artificial containers and stagnant water, malaria mosquitoes prefer places like Palawan where there are a slow flowing stream and clean water.
