It's important to know the truth about what role the 'suob' plays in fighting COVID-19. So read on HERE:

Professional basketball player Chris de Chavez shared that he and his family beat COVID-19 in Tunay na Buhay's special online series 'Survivors'.

In the said episode, Chris's father, Jun de Chavez, also narrated his symptoms and revealed that what helped him greatly in his recovery from COVID-19 was the 'suob' or steam therapy.

Steam therapy is done by placing a blanket over your head and putting your face directly above a pail with hot water and inhaling the steam that evaporates from it.

The 'suob' helps decongest or clear mucus from your chest when you have colds or coughs.

However, in the same episode, Doctor Rolando Dela Eva, a Pediatric Pulmonologist and Sleep Specialist cleared that 'suob' or steam therapy is not a cure for COVID-19, as there is no known cure or vaccine yet for the Coronavirus Disease.

If anything, steam therapy could provide great relief for those who are recovering from COVID-19. But most definitely, it is not a cure for the disease.

Therefore, if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, it's still best to consult a doctor and not rely solely on home remedies such as the 'suob'.
