The celebrity and influencer mom has succeeded in normalizing vegetable intake within her family. Here's how.

Mealtime for kids can be frustrating for some parents. Some kids are picky eaters, only wanting to eat chicken nuggets, ice cream, or sweets.

This is a challenge for parents especially now that it's important to have good health and to strengthen their kids' immune system to avoid catching COVID-19.

While some of them would instill into their children's minds to consume greens, celebrity and influencer mom, Camile Prats, does the opposite to her three kids--Nathan, Nala, and Nolan.

Believe it or not, the Makulay Ang Buhay and Mars Pa More host didn't have trouble feeding her kids nutritious food because she has always encouraged them to eat as much vegetables as other foods like meat and fruits.

In an exclusive Zoom interview with GMANetwork.com, Camille shares the simple ways on how she got her kids to love veggies.

Introduce veggies early

When her kids began to start eating solid foods, that's the time when Camille began to give them pureed vegetables so they would get used to its taste.

"Si Nolan pinu-puree 'yung food n'ya so it's sayote, potato, carrots.

"He's very familiar with that so when he's baby-led weaning na, he knows na to eat by himself. We give him broccoli always. He loves it," she states.

Just like Nolan, Camille had given her now-three-year-old daughter, Nala, vegetables like malunggay when she's the same age as him.

First time to eat rice with tinola soup, chicken and malunggay. ❤️ my mom blended everything together so I don't have to chew it coz I don't have teeth yet ☺️ soooo yummy! 😋

Alway make veggies part of the meal

One effective way to easily feed your kids vegetables is by making them always available at the dining table.

Lunch is ready! 😅 my husband and @nathanielcaesar24 have been challenging my cooking skills lately! 😆 Being on quarantine for 4 months+, lately, I have been struggling on what to feed them and how to make meal time extra appetizing for them, kayo din ba? Being stuck at home the whole day with just a few things to do around the house, hindi mo mapapansin na kakatapos lang ng lunch, dinner nanaman. 😅 Trying out some new but easy recipes (google is the best!🤣) Also bought new plates too para kunyari we're dining out 😋 mukhang na enjoy naman nila including @nalacamilla 🤗 small wins for this momma that definitely makes days a little brighter. 😃🥰

"Kami sa bahay, wala kaming meal time na walang gulay, bihirang-bihira.

"There's always gulay and we always encourage them to eat their veggies.

"No'ng una, siyempre, awayan pero it's really a rule na kailangan mong ubusan 'yan, konting-konti lang naman," Camille shares.

She then emphasizes, "Kapag gutom sila, wala silang choice kakainin nila 'yan."

Be a model

Children learn by imitating what they see. Therefore, the best way to teach kids to love vegetables is by being a model to them, Camille says.

Hubby and I prepping lunch in the kitchen! 😊 he's prepping steak and salad while I cook pasta for our guests 😊 shared responsibilities at home also means bonding time for us because we both love what we're doing 😊#careworkisteamwork ❤️👍🏼 supporting @oxfamsapilipinas nas on their campaign about shared responsibilities at home! "Everything that you do, whether it's good or bad, they just copy everything even when it comes to eating veggies. They will copy it if they see that you are doing it," the celebrity mom said.
