Laureen Uy: “Not being able to see them in person doesn't mean you gotta stop communicating!"

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives in more ways than one.

One of the consequences of this highly contagious disease forced many to avoid physical interactions to avoid spreading it.

In the Philippines, we are not out of the woods yet as recent data culled from the Department of Health (DOH) shows that 387,161 people have contracted the disease with 7,318 people dying from COVID-19.

Vlogger and social media influencer Laureen Uy took to Instagram to remind her followers that we should check up on our friends amid this situation.

Laureen noted, “Just a reminder: make your friends feel loved by sending them random messages / scheduling video calls aka enumans lol.

In a previous post on Instagram Story last month, she also advised people to take extra precaution when going out, since some of our kababayans have begun traveling.

She posted, “Remember that every time you leave the house you are putting yourself and your friends, family, loved ones at risk.

“Sabi nga nila think and act like you have the virus so we can all stop it from spreading.”

Laureen is the youngest sibling of stylist Liz Uy and creative director Vince Uy.
