Celebrity mom Pauleen Luna immediately responded to a question about her photo with her three-years-old daughter, Talitha Sotto, who was not wearing any face mask.
On her Instagram post yesterday, July 11, Pauleen assured that Tali was safe even without a face mask since they were at an open field and were observing social distancing.
“Kids have the tendency to take off their mask esp if hirap ng huminga [sa hingal] don't worry, we were in a huge field, walang nagkakadikit na tao," she said.
As of July 11, the total number of COVID-19 active cases has reached 49,701 with the number of infections in the Philippines now standing at 1,473, 025.
With the dreaded virus a major concern still, the government still requires individuals who go outside to wear a face mask and face shield as part of the health protocol.
Malacanang announced last Friday, July 9 that it will allow kids ages five and up to go outside in selected areas despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
This policy will only be implemented in areas categorized under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
Places under GCQ "with heightened restrictions,” including Laguna and Cavite, are not included.
