Neri Naig encourages pregnant women like her to get COVID-19 shot
With the total number of COVID-19 infections in the Philippines now at 2.3 million as of yesterday (September 19), pregnant mom Neri Naig has decided to push through with her plans to get vaccinated against the dreaded virus.
The wife of Parokya ni Edgar vocalist, Chito Miranda, shared her vaccination experience in Cavite and explained why she wanted to take her COVID-19 shot while pregnant.
She began her post saying, “Second dose, done! Yehaaaay!
She added, “Bakit ako nagpabakuna? Covid is real.
She assured everyone that they asked her OB Gyne's permission first before being inoculated and she didn't think twice about getting the vaccine even if the only available brand was Sinovac at that time.
Neri explained, “We asked my OB Gyne kung safe ba magpabakuna.
Tapos may pasa ako. Pero pasain naman kase ako. So far, ok naman ako.
The former actress also added that getting the shot is safe for pregnant moms and your doctor will guide you every step of the way.
Let us all be responsible.”
Aside from Neri, other pregnant mommies who got their COVID-19 vaccine include Bossa Nova singer Sitti and beauty vlogger Anna Cay.
The Miranda couple officially announced that they are having a baby on May 9, 2021. Neri gave birth to her first child named Miggy in 2016.
