The soon-to-be mom-of-three also admits to experiencing depression during her third pregnancy.

Former actress Nadine Samonte and husband Richard Chua will soon welcome their third child. And for her maternity shoot, Nadine once again showed the reality of pregnancy for mothers like her who suffer from antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APAS) and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

APAS or Hughes' Syndrome is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly creates antibodies that make blood clots highly likely, while PCOS is a hormonal disorder that can cause complications such as a miscarriage, gestational diabetes, and premature birth.

To prevent complications from these conditions, expecting mothers with APAS and PCOS like Nadine have to take several medications and have regular check-ups all throughout their pregnancy.

In her Instagram post, Nadine shared a couple of photos from her maternity shoot with Nice Print Photography, where she donned a cream-colored dress while caressing her baby bump, and was surrounded by numerous syringes, sonograms, prescriptions, and medicines.

On her caption, she explained why she chose such a theme for her third maternity shoot.

“Long caption! My story!I chose to have a pictorial like this why? Because lahat ng Injections, bills, reseta, gamot lahat ng nakapaligid sa akin is the reality of having APAS and PCOS,”

Nadine also wrote. “I love being pregnant kahit mahirap kasi blessing ni Lord ito and ill be forever grateful na biniyayaan pa kami ng isa pa. Thank you Lord.”

The StarStruck alumna also said her piece about body shaming in anticipation of negative comments about her weight gain.

“I know after posting this madaming comments na negative na ssbhn ang taba taba ko na hehe well thats normal and lumlki tlga ang ibang mommies tuwing nabubuntis.

“All i can say is i dont care one thing i learned is hindi dapat magpaapekto sa mga taong nagssbi ng negatve sa atin lalo na we are all doing this for our baby.”

She then emphasized how blessed she feels despite the difficulties she's experiencing during her pregnancy.

“Ang dami kong pinagdaanan sa pagbubuntis ko and lahat ng ito super worth it.

“Madami gusto magkaanak at isa ako sa pinagpala kaya iniingtan ko ito.

“Sa mga gusto magkaanak wag kayo mawalan ng pagasa because ibibgay ni Lord sa tamang panahon.”

Nadine also detailed what she does to keep her APAS and PCOS in check and revealed who her doctors are.

“Sa mga nagtatanung my doctor is still Dra. Chiaoling SuaLao from Manila Doctors. My Immunologist is Dr. Ed Lim.

“I've done 4-5 sessions of LIT (12 injections per session). I've done also IVIG nung time na dinugo ako ng first trimester and i also did Smoflipid.

“My medicines are still the same i am taking Innohep and Proluton injections and lots of oral meds.

“Every 10 days is my checkup. Every month kinukuhanan ako ng dugo to monitor my KCT, DRVVT and APTT (for my blood) and another checkup for monitoring of my complete cbc, cholesterol, etc. Every month i also do rt-pcr to make sure that im okay.”

In the same post, Nadine admitted to suffering depression during her third pregnancy.

“Madami nang nangyayari hehe and last wk i just broke down, nadepress ako ng hindi ko alam, very unusual for me kasi sa 2 kids ko hindi ako nagkaganun pero i overcame it.

“Ang hirap ng feeling ng hindi ma alam kung anu nangyayari sayo pero with the help of the Lord, my husband, my mom and my mom in law they helped me kaya ako nakablik sa sarili ko

“It's hard pero here i am getting stronger each day and excited sa pag dating ng bunso namin.”

Previously, Nadine also had a similar theme for the photos of her children Heather Sloane and Austin Titus, where they were both enclosed in a heart shape formed with the syringes used during Nadine's pregnancy.

Nadine and Richard welcomed their first child Heather in August 2016, while their son Titus was born in April 2019.

The couple announced Nadine's third pregnancy back in June 9 and revealed that they are going to have another daughter in their vlog uploaded on August 22.
