Kris Aquino says if everything goes right, she'll be heading off to the US for further treatment.
Despite battling various health concerns, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is all smiles and full of positivity after her successful first dose of Xolair injection.
According to https://www.drugs.com, Xolair "is an antibody that helps decrease allergic responses in the body."
In a recent Instagram post, the actress shared a video of her medication and an update on her health and plans.
“1st Xolair injection was a success, meaning kinaya ko the full dose.”
Usually, doctors and nurses observe a patient's condition post injection and look after possible allergic reactions to the medication.
Thereafter, she relayed her gratitude to her medical team, her close friends Anne Binay and Congresswoman Len Alonte, her sons Joshua and Bimby, who consistently updates the actress' eldest sister Ballsy and a few more.
She then thanked those who prayed for her and shared that she is off abroad for her medication should everything go well from here.
“Thank you for your prayers- supposed to rest this week, then March 13 ang next shot- then after 5 days, praying nothing goes wrong, we finally go abroad & i continue my next doses of Xolair and finally tackle my autoimmune and other important health problems,” she said.
Still looking very frail and alarmingly thin, Kris shared, “In case magtatanong kayo, still just 85 pounds (38.5 kg).”
Fans and friends from showbiz like Neil Arce, Angeline Quinto, and Neri Miranda all wished the actress good health and a speedy recovery.
Kris has been battling chronic spontaneous urticaria, which has allergy-like symptoms on the skin that requires constant medication and maintenance. An autoimmune disease, it's the result of the body's immune system attacking healthy cells.
Aside from health issue, Kris also went through a heartbreak after her break up with former fiancé Mel Sarmiento, who chose to end things with her to avoid compromised immunity. While having promised never to refer to the former interior and local government secretary ever again in public, she later revealed that he has only used her for his advances.
