“For the innumerable visits, flowers, food deliveries, letters, books, prayers, and love- thank you.”--Selina Dagdag-Alas

PBA courtside reporter Selina Dagdag took to social media anew to express her appreciation to everyone who supported her throughout her cancer treatment.

After announcing in April that she was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia, Selina and her husband NLEX Road Warrior cager Kevin Louie Alas shared the good news this month that she's now cancer-free.

Selina, who thanked her doctor Mel De Quiros for her tremendous support, posted next on Instagram her appreciation to family, friends, and churchmates for keeping her strong during the healing process.

She wrote, “I'm afraid my only contributions in this suffering are the many times I felt anxious and shaken.

“The moments I may have appeared strong or brave were entirely enabled by Him alone. Praise God for He is always by my side strengthening me and upholding me. And I thank Him for sending me family, churchmates, and friends to carry me through.

“For the innumerable visits, flowers, food deliveries, letters, books, prayers, and love- thank you.”

All the photos she captured during her treatment is something that she will treasure forever, “Wasn't able to take a picture with everyone (this is less than half of the people I'm immensely grateful for!) but here are some photos in my gallery I would treasure in my heart forever.”

The Alas couple had their civil wedding ceremony in September 2020 and held their church wedding a year later.

Aside from Selina's cancer treatment, she also confirmed in January 2022 that she suffered a miscarriage.
