Korean girl group BLACKPINK's hit single "BOOMBAYAH" achieved another milestone as the first ever K-pop debut music video to hit 800 million views, Korean news outlet Soompi reported, Monday, February 24.

BLACKPINK's music video for “BOOMBAYAH” surpassed 800 million views on YouTube--making it the first K-pop debut music video in history to achieve the feat.

'BOOMBAYAH''s music video was originally released on August 8, 2016 at 8 p.m. KST, and just over three years, six months, and 15 days to hit the 800 million mark.

BLACKPINK is composed of Kim Jennie, Lisa Manoban, Park Chaeyoung better known as Rose and Kim Jisoo.
