Michael Jordan The Last Dance

'The Last Dance' gives a definitive account of Michael Jordan's career and the 1990s Chicago Bulls.

The Last Dance, a 10-part documentary series about retired NBA legend Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls, will be available on Netflix starting April 20 in the Philippines.

The highly-anticipated series was supposed to air in June, but was moved to April as a result of the clamoring of fans for more sports programming due to the present coronavirus.

The Last Dance will show never-before-seen footage taken during the 1997-1998 season, exclusive interviews to key Bulls members such as Scottie Pippen, and has appearances of other big names such as Barack Obama, Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Justin Timberlake, just to name a few.

Jordan is considered by many as the greatest basketball player of all time as he won six championships with the Chicago Bulls, won the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) award a record six times, was a five-time regular season MVP, and the list goes on.

Pinoy basketball fans can relive the special moments of Jordan's last season with the Bulls, as the 10-part docuseries will air on Netflix on five consecutive Mondays starting April 20, 2020.

"It was a special thing. That path, that journey, that last three seasons. It was some of the greatest years of my life. Hanging out with these guys, having the opportunity, knowing it was our last season, we really embraced it, we did a lot of things together and Phil made it a lot of fun for us, you know. Some of those memories that you wish you could relive over and over again,” Scottie Pippen said in an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

Directed by Jason Hehir, the docuseries was named The Last Dance because the term was coined by then Chicago Bulls head coach Phil Jackson as the 1997-1998 season was their last season together.

"Phil called it 'the last dance' before the season even started because we were all free agents after the year ended, but because it was our third straight year trying to win the championship, everybody was exhausted,” Steve Kerr said.
