New Normal The Survival Guide Newsmakers

Bea Hardinera has a simple recipe for an organic pesticide that makes use of common household ingredients.

Urban gardener Bea Macalino Buñi, also known as Bea Hardinera, returns with a few more practical tips on how to make your urban garden thrive.

In an episode of New Normal: The Survival Guide series Newsmakers, she shared how she makes fertilizer out of vegetable scraps.

Fermented plant juice is made from plants and fruits mixed with sugar then stored for a long time to allow fermentation.

Aside from that, Bea also uses manure from earthworms to keep the soil healthy.

Newsmakers host Winnie Monsod then asked for advice regarding her pechay plant which has been infested by worms.

I'm afraid of the uod," she says.

Her recipe for organic fertilizer makes use of ordinary household ingredients.
