Classic MMFF films


Fans will get to rewatch or see past festival entries for the first time via Upstream.ph.

Movie fans residing in the Philippines will have the chance to revisit past Metro Manila Film Festival entries starting today, December 7, at Upstream.ph for only P59.

Meanwhile, Filipinos residing abroad can access the films beginning December 18.

Some of the MMFF classics included in the line-up are: Ang Larawan, Gagamboy, Panday, The Asiong Salonga Story, Die Beautiful, Enteng Kabisote, The Echo, Spirit Warriors, Lastikman, Shake, Rattle & Roll 2k5, English Only Please, and Crying Ladies.

This latest promo is to help drum up anticipation for this year's MMFF running online from December 25, 2020 to January 7, 2021.

The participating movies for this year are Coming Home, Tagpuan, Isang Pang Bahaghari, Pakboys: Takusa, Mang Kepweng, Suarez: The Healing Priest, The Missing, Magikland, The Boy Foretold By The Stars, and Fan Girl.

Here are the steps to watch this year's MMFF:

In related news, the traditional Parade of Stars will not take place this year because of health and safety concerns.

Instead, a program will be staged featuring the lead stars from the participating movies and will be streamed online.

The awarding ceremony on December 27 at Globe Studio in Makati City will also be a virtual affair.
