Mars Pa More host Camille Prats ticked off one of her dreams this year as she launched her new podcast “Count Your Blessings” on Friday, January 7.
“I do have my goals this year and one of them is to start this podcast. I have been contemplating about starting a podcast because I'm the type of person who likes to think out loud. I like to have conversations with myself... I also want to pour out my thoughts and the things I have been learning in different seasons of my life,” she said in the 24-minute episode.
The “Count Your Blessings” podcast is a space to share her stories and realizations in hopes of helping her listeners build an optimistic and appreciative mindset. She emphasized that while no one is exempt from challenges in life, it will only cause more misery if people only focus on the negative.
“This year, isa 'yan sa mga bagay na gusto kong maging habit. To be grateful. To always look at things from a positive point of view… In this podcast, we're going to be focusing on looking at things in a positive way. Susubukan natin na baguhin ang pag-iisip natin because I think that our minds are very powerful. Whatever we think, 'yon ang nangyayari sa atin,” she said.
Since the pandemic, Camille has started using her platform to post Bible verses and devotions which she observed were well-received by her fans and followers. Thus, her podcast will serve as an extension of the positivity she aspires to share with the world.
The 36-year-old celebrity mom also opened up about how she used to be oversensitive, easily taking offense when she receives harsh words from others. After realizing the effects of this unhealthy practice, she started learning how to seek inner peace by limiting how other people's negativities affect her.
“We can actually still enjoy peace in us kahit na may mga nangyayari sa paligid natin na hindi naman talaga natin nagugustuhan…Our joy is not around us. It is in us. It's how we decide to look at things. And I found that very beautiful. Totoo nga naman, we pray for joy. It's something that we would always want to have…hindi natin mahahanap ang kasiyahan sa paligid natin, it's in us,” she emphasized.
Camille announced the launch of her podcast endeavor yesterday, January 6, via Instagram.
“Ran out of reasons and finally found [the] courage to start my podcast. From posting Bible verses and devotions that I find meaningful, practical, and life-changing, journey with me as we find and see things with eyes of faith. That despite all the challenges, there's always something to be grateful for,” she wrote in the caption.
Fellow Kapuso celebrities like Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Iya Villania, and Kakai Bautista took to the post's comment section to express their anticipation for her new project.
Aside from Camille, many local personalities have also pursued their own podcasts. Check them out here:
