Gabbi Garcia

Gabbi Garcia, one of Sparkle's Next Brightest Stars of 2022, had recently revealed that she had gotten into 'car camping.'

Gabbi Garcia is proving the saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it,” as she shares throwback camping photos that show her using the same tent she's been using since she was three years old.

In four photos, Gabbi not only shared adorable pictures of herself as a child but also emphasized how long she's been using the camping tent featured in the photos.

“Trivia: the tent that we're using now for camping is still the same tent we've been using since we were kids! I'm so happy my Dad kept it all these years, ” Gabbi wrote in the post's caption.

Gabbi followed up the post with a short video of her and boyfriend Khalil Ramos camping, with the same tent featured prominently.

The pair recently revealed that they had gotten into car camping or overlanding, which the website Overland Kings describes as a “self-reliant journey to remote destinations.”

In an interview for 24 Oras, the real-life couple explained that they tried it out for their Front Seat Foodies vlog and ended up enjoying it.

“We decided na i-try natin. To breathe also, to get away from the city, to reconnect with nature. Nagustuhan namin siya, sobrang saya, ito na nga, nagpapakabit na rin kami sa sarili naming car ng equipment din para we can do it again in the future,” shared Gabbi.

In that same interview, Khalil - also one of Sparkle's Next Brightest Stars of 2022 - explained the appeal of overlanding.

“'Yung effort worth it. Gumising kami ng anong oras, umalis kami ng three, halos hindi kami natulog kasi syempre gusto namin ma-catch 'yung sunrise. Worth it siya kasi makakahinga ka ng mas presko, ng wala masyadong iniisip,” he explained.
