Proud Filipina is the right phrase for Kapuso beauty queen Michelle Marquez Dee as she proudly claims to be a Filipina in her throwback post about her Miss Universe journey.

As she celebrates her first monthsary, Michelle posted a reel that summarized her journey with snippets of the coronation night, her national costume, evening gown, and moments together with her Filipino fans.

She also captioned, "A month has passed but the work will NEVER stop. Pinoy ako! Loud and proud!" and added the song 'Noypi' in the video.

Michelle's followers including Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Brooke Bruk-Jackson and TV personality Tim Yap showered compliments to the Kapuso queen's post with comments: "Above and beyond. Mabuhay ang Filipina!" and "Ah just adore you."

Michelle Dee made it to the Top 10 during the finals held in El Salvador and won the following awards: Best National Costume, Voice for Change, Spirit of Carnival Award, and Miss Universe' fan vote.

Despite not winning the crown, Michelle Dee became an icon with her advocacy for autism awareness and her special detailed costumes.

She also serves as an inspiration to all Filipinos as she has been attending various activities like the Rizal Month's flag-raising ceremony, visited foundations and orphanages like the Inner Peace Foundation and Cottolengo Orphanage. She was also chosen recently as the newest tourism ambassador for the Department of Tourism.

Currently as an actress, Michelle is busy for her upcoming appearance in the Kapuso series Black Rider, where she will showcase her action and acting skills.
