Bettinna Carlos shares that if you want to soak up inspiring messages you have to talk to a person who experienced the ups and downs of life. That is why she probes Chef Boy when life gets a bit uncertain for her.

Chef Boy welcomed Bettinna not only as a guest, but also as a friend when she taped an episode in ‘Idol sa Kusina’. That is why Bettinna is honored now that she’s working with the humble chef in the show.

Bettinna divulged that she lauds Chef Boy’s nobility and passion for cooking.

She said, “I am very blessed, very honored, very humbled always, whenever I'm with him. Kahit sa school, because Chef Boy is more than a chef, more than a teacher, he's a life coach, he's a mentor”.

“'Yung outflow nung heart niya, whenever he talks about food, laging kakabit yung buhay niya, how he started his humble beginnings,” Bettinna added.

Chef Boy’s humility is what Bettina appreciates the most. The chef didn't finish school but strived for a better life. Now, Chef Boy is a host of a cooking and variety shows, owns a restaurant, a farm, and a culinary school where he also teaches.

According to her, Chef Boy always reminds her to look back to where she came from. Bettinna shared, “he always makes me realize that you always have to go back to where you started for you to treasure where you are right now. And it's very inspiring how he managed to be where he is right now from where he was before and remain grounded”.
