Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo have become a phenomenal love team after My Husband’s Lover, while Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado have proven that even after 10 years in showbiz, their chemistry has still not faltered. 

This year, Tom-Den and Mark-Jen are nominated as Love Team of the Year at the Yahoo Celebrity Awards 2014.

It was definitely a milestone for Philippine TV to depict gay couples for the first time through My Husband’s Lover. Getting Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo to portray lovers, Vincent and Eric, proved to be a good choice as both played against type.
 
Before My Husband’s Lover, Dennis Trillo played Marian Rivera’s womanizing husband in Temptation of Wife. Tom Rodriguez was Marian Rivera’s boy toy in Temptation Island. Turning the two alpha males into gay lovers is genius.

Needless to say, viewers and netizens embraced their groundbreaking team-up. Even after My Husband’s Lover, Tom-Den remains to be one of the most well-loved team-ups in showbiz.
 
Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado have come a long way since they were declared winners of the first season of StarStruck 10 years ago.
 
Since then, they each have individually appeared in numerous TV series and films, while being paired in Encantadia, Joyride, I Luv NY and Ikaw Sana in 2009.

It took almost five years before they reunited again. This much-anticipated reunion happened in Rhodora X, which showcased the diverse acting range of both Jennylyn and Mark. Now more mature with a different kind of chemistry, they thrived.
