The TedX speaking engagement is just the latest post-pageant project Michelle Dee is involved in.
Kapuso beauty queen Michelle Dee continues to make waves even after her Miss Universe run as she is the featured speaker at an international school's event.
In one of the more recent posts on their official Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization announced that Michelle Dee will be a featured speaker at the TedX event at the British School Manila. Michelle's talk is titled “Beyond the Surface: Redefining Beauty and Success”, which the Miss Universe Philippines organization called “a subject she is an authority on.”
Michelle's post-pageant career has been very busy, with the Kapuso beauty queen taking on one project after another. Earlier this month, she was named the face of cosmetics brand Maybelline Philippines. The announcement was made on her Instagram account.
Back in February, she was announced as a China Bank brand ambassador, the first time the financial institution has named one in a hundred years. Michelle also has a personal connection to the bank, with her grandparents serving as president and director of the bank decades ago.
Michelle has also shared the cover of MEGA magazine with Miss Universe Thailand Anntonia Porsild. In the accompanying feature story, the duo shared that it was not friends at first sight for the two of them.
Michelle has also expressed her willingness to coach her successor, who will be crowned next month in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines coronation night.
“Of course, you always pay it forward. Just like every queen who has passed the crown to me, I plan to be just as much of a help to the next queen as well,” she said.
