Chelsea Manalo

Chelsea Manalo did not only give an impeccable performance during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant night, but she also excelled in her job as a hotel staff.

Who would have thought that someone who once worked as hotel staff would win the coveted title of Miss Universe Philippines?

This is what happened when vlogger Rocio Ocampo and her husband, Nelvine Ocampo, were able to document in a previous vlog their encounter with Miss Bulacan Chelsea Manalo.

Rocio and Nelvine are a couple from Woodland Hills, California and running the YouTube channel MomDuty. They are now living in the Philippines with their two kids.

In her Instagram post, Rocio uploaded a short clip of Chelsea and recalled their experience meeting her at the Clark Marriott Hotel.

The post reads, “So happy our family got to meet @manalochelsea… She is beautiful inside and out! Watching her achieve this incredible honor feels even more meaningful knowing the wonderful person she is. Congratulations on becoming Miss Universe Philippines--you deserve it, Queen… See you in Mexico..."

Several netizens reacted to the viral video and lauded our reigning Miss Universe Philippines for her professionalism and impressive customer service.

One even commented that her job as a hotel staff helped her in winning the title.

Meanwhile, Chelsea took time to thank all those who supported her pageant journey and assured everyone that she will be giving her best to win the fifth crown for the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant that will be held in Mexico.

Chelsea wrote on Instagram, “To those who supported me, it was beautiful to know you were all cheering Bulacan even if I didn't know all of you. Your voices echoed in my head, reminding myself that I should believe in myself because there were people believing in me.

“Sa'yo mahal kong Pilpinas, gagawin ko ang lahat para iuwi ang pang-limang korona. Hindi kita bibiguin. Ilalaban natin ito. Maraming Salamat po.”
