Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel will be part of the group that determines the Gold winners of the Voice for Change challenge.

The competition for the 2024 Miss Universe crown is coming closer and closer as the organization has now announced the members of the selection committee for its Voice for Change challenge.

In one of the more recent posts on its official Instagram account, the Miss Universe organization named the seven members of its Voice for Change selection committee, one of which is the Fil-Am winner of Miss Universe 2022, R'Bonney Gabriel. In the accompanying graphic, R'Bonney is described as a sustainable fashion designer and an environmental advocate.

Aside from R'Bonney, other members of the selection committee include Miss Universe Angola 2023 Ana Barbara Coimbra, plastic surgeon Dr. Juan Manuel Chaparro Gonzalez, Miss Universe 2020 second runner-up Janick Maceta, Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 Karla Guilfu, Miss Universe Thailand 2019 Paweensuda Drouin, and Miss Universe Nepal 2022 Sophiya Bhujel.

The selection committee will determine the Silver finalists and Gold winners of the beauty pageant's Voice for Change finalists, which honors the delegates who have best used their voices to effect change in their communities. Kapuso beauty queen Michelle Dee was a Voice for Change winner in last year's pageant, where she advocated for autism awareness and the Autism Society of the Philippines' (ASP) Autism Works program.

Just like Michelle, the country's representative this year, Chelsea Manalo, is advocating for something close to her heart. In a video uploaded on the CITalks website, Chelsea talked about her experience being the child of a migrant worker and how she is working towards empowering and advocating for the needs of children like her.

Watch the video below:

Chelsea is currently in Los Angeles undergoing training before heading to Mexico on October 29 for the start of the Miss Universe competition. The pageant's coronation night will be held on November 17.
