'Cruz vs. Cruz' star Vina Morales shares a beautiful reminder she learned from the late Pope Francis.

The Filipino people joined the entire world in grieving and remembering the life of Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21 at the age of 88.

Following his death, various celebrities and personalities from all over the world paid tribute to the late pontiff on social media.

In an Instagram post, actress and singer Vina Morales reposted a video of Pope Francis giving an important reminder to people when praying. The Cruz vs. Cruz star also expressed her gratitude to Pope Francis for reminding people to “pray with our hearts, not just our lips”.

“A reminder to everyone. Don't be like parrots when you pray. Pope Francis reminds us that prayer isn't about perfect words or petition, it's about the heart. It's a conversation with God, honest and real. Sometimes, the most powerful prayers are the ones said in silence, with tears, with gratitude or simply with faith. Keep praying, keep the faith,” she wrote.

Pope Francis last visited the Philippines in 2015.

Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the Camerlengo of the Apostolic Chamber, released a statement about the untimely passing of Pope Francis, saying that the latter served the Lord and His church for his entire life.

“Dearest brothers and sisters, with deep sorrow I must announce the death of our Holy Father Francis…

“His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Lord and of His church. He taught us to live the values of the Gospel with fidelity, courage, and universal love especially in favor of the poorest and most marginalized.”
