The year 2020 can be said to collectively be the most grueling and uncertain episode in our lives, and while others find temporary solace in jesting that this year doesn't count, Alden Richards made it his year.

But early in 2020, this state of hopefulness was immediately smeared when the COVID-19 crisis broke into a pandemic.
