Anjay Anson is, indeed, the new matinee idol to watch for!
His first Kapuso project is a telemovie special called "Magkaibigan, Nagkaibigan" which is part of weekend anthology series 'Regal Studio Presents.'
Anjay starred in the episode with 'StarStruck' alums Kim de Leon and Lexi Gonzales.
As it was his Kapuso debut and his first-ever acting project, Anjay admitted to feeling a bit nervous during the taping.
"At first po sobrang kinakabahan po talaga ako. As in, sobrang grabe po 'yung kaba ko noon. Pero naging malaking tulong naman po si Lexi tsaka si Kim para maging okay po 'yung flow ng taping namin," the handsome young man shared in an interview.
After the episode aired, he excitedly expressed his gratitude to those who watched it.
"To everyone who watched, Thank you so much! Hope ya'll enjoyed and I truly appreciate you all," he wrote on Instagram.
Anjay was part of GMA's first suspenserye titled 'Widows' Web,' where he portrayed the role of Jed Sagrado-Dee, the son of Barbara Sagrado-Dee played by seasoned actress Carmina Villarroel.
Apart from this, the actor-model is also a member of the newest barkada called Sparkada. The 17 head-turners of Sparkada were handpicked by acclaimed starmaker Johnny “Mr. M" Manahan for their colorful background and potential to become the next big stars in showbiz.
