Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez finished off strong in the Top 5 of the 70th Miss Universe held on December 12 (December 13 Philippine Time).
Though she did not bring home the crown, Beatrice won the hearts of Filipinos with her dedication to her pageant journey.
Prior to her time in Miss Universe, Beatrice was already an advocate of many organizations and has been uplifting nationalism through her service in the military.
She first entered the world of pageantry in 2015 when she joined Miss Mandaue 2015 and placed second runner-up. She later on represented San Fernando, Cebu, at the Binibining Cebu 2020.
In September 2021, Beatrice represented Cebu City at the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 pageant.
Beatrice garnered attention and made history as the first openly bisexual Miss Universe Philippines winner to compete in Miss Universe.
