Behind the shadow of one of showbiz's beautiful faces, Kristine Hermosa, is her equally beautiful older sister and fellow actress, Kathleen Hermosa, who is two years her senior.
Kathleen began her showbiz career in the '90s starring in a youth-oriented television series for years. Subsequently, she appeared in different TV dramas playing supporting roles since early 2000 on various TV networks. Among her projects in GMA were 'Anna Karenina' (2013) and 'Cielo de Angelina' (2012).
Kathleen's showbiz career may not be as bright as her younger sister's, but her presence as a public figure remains known as she regularly updates her fans and followers on what she's up to, sharing both her triumphs and struggles, via her YouTube channel and social media accounts.
In case you're wondering why she lied low on acting, she worked as a financial adviser for an insurance company.
While she enjoyed her day job and excelled at it which led her to be promoted as a unit manager, Kathleen admitted that she had to give it up to prioritize her well-being as depression hit her.
Worse is that, in January 2020, Kathleen found out that she had kidney stones that lodged in her inflamed ureter because of a long-overdue urinary tract infection that resulted in sepsis. Fortunately for her, she was immediately treated and recovered.
As things seemed to fall into place, it was the time when another heartbreak hit her.
She tried her luck at working abroad and ended up learning that it was not for her. There came a time that she had nothing that left her devastated.
Some things didn't work out for her but as time goes by, she came back to life rising stronger than before after hitting rock bottom.
After so many trials, Kathleen has discovered her zest. Right now, she enjoys her time in live selling while managing her own little business.
