Sandara Park reveals how G-Dragon helped her join 2NE1

Sandara Park is known to be close friends with former label mate G-Dragon of BIGBANG.
Both Sandara and G-dragon debuted under YG Entertainment, and have known each other for years.
In fact, Sandara claims G-Dragon talked highly about her to YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk, and this might have helped her debut with the now disbanded girl group, 2NE1.
Recently, Sandara appeared as a guest on former TVXQ Jaejoong's show Jaefriends where she discussed her past as a K-pop girl group member.

Sandara revealed that when she was still a trainee and unsure of her debut, she had an idea that involved G-Dragon's help.
“I wasn't a fixed member yet. I was auditioning to act [and] I joined while I was training to act. So it was a dramatic change,” Sandara said.
“I asked G-Dragon when "LIES" was out and BIGBANG had more power. I thought if G-Dragon went to Hyun-suk and said 'Dara is really good' [then] it would really happen,” she shared.
While this could've boosted her trainee status, there's no doubt that Sandara debuted as a 2NE1 member since she had so much star quality and fit well with the 2NE1's image.
Sandara added, "But we did have to film ourselves singing every month so he [Yang Hyun-suk] saw it.
"He said I was the most gangster. I was so thrilled and proud that he said that," she said.
"I have the blood of a rebel," Sandara declared.
