According to Geoff, communicating with customers is very important. In fact, when he is at Stockpile, he interacts with their customers. He said, “Kapag maraming tao, yeah. May interaction with the customers.”
However, at some point a restaurant will surely encounter a rude customer. Here are his tips in dealing with such scenario.
“I guess with any restaurant pinagdadaanan 'yan. Always just be polite lang to whoever the customer is kasi the customer is always right. Their satisfaction is always the number one priority nung restaurant.”
Geoff added some ways on how they deal with such customers. He said, “If they're not happy, kung saan man we try to talk to them kung ano 'yung puwede naming baguhin. Try to fix whatever the problem is. On our part gawin pa rin namin tama ang lahat para at least kahit hindi siya happy sa time na pinunta niya, maybe next time he'll give it another chance.”
He added, “We try to accommodate everyone, and first come first served basis kami dito. May reservations din naman but that's if it’s not a packed house. Minsan napupuno rin kasi. Sometimes, may hintayan din kasi pero as much as possible we accommodate everyone.”
Social media reviews are common these days, how do they deal with comments from their Instagram account?
“On our Instagram page when people comment on our food laging parang 'uy ang sarap niyan and all that. Just picture pa lang takam na takam na sila. So ang suggestion lang namin is if you haven't tried it come on by.“ Geoff answered.
To those who are considering opening up a restaurant like Geoff, here’s his final tip.
“Mahirap siya, a lot of things to consider. Pero if your gut tells you do it, do it. If everything feels right, suck it all up and eventually you'll succeed.”
