Beauty queens who were stripped of their crowns

Throughout the years, there has been history in beauty pageants of stripping the winners of their crowns for various reasons.
In 2010, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. initially stripped Venus Raj from representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant for citizenship issues. According to reports, there had been inconsistencies with Venus' birth certificate. Fortunately, Binibining Pilipinas returned the crown to her after securing a Philippine passport. Venus placed fourth runner-up in the Miss Universe, which also started the country's streak in prestigious pageant.
In 2024, Miss Grand International became the talk of the town when dethroned Miss Grand Myanmar Thae Su Nyein as its second runner-up due to “inappropriate behavior and actions that violated several regulations.”
