On June 10, 2025, Kim Taehyung--better known to the world as V of BTS--was officially discharged from South Korea's mandatory military service, marking a highly anticipated moment for ARMYs around the globe. After 18 months of service as a member of the South Korean Army's Special Task Force Unit, V returns not only as an artist, but also as a man who has grown through duty, discipline, and national pride.
V enlisted in December 2023 alongside fellow BTS members RM, Jungkook, and Jimin, forming a poignant moment in the band's journey as they paused group activities to fulfill their national responsibilities. Similarly, Kim Namjoon (RM) was also officially discharged from South Korea's mandatory military service on June 10, marking a powerful moment in the group's ongoing story. BTS members Jimin and Jungkook were discharged the following day, making the past few days especially emotional for ARMYs worldwide.
