Mariel Rodriguez threw a baby shower in honor of her husband Robin’s daughter Kylie Padilla. Held last night at Aruga by Rockwell, the event’s theme was patterned after The Little Prince, one of Kylie’s favorite books.

A new mom herself, Mariel wanted Kylie’s soon-to-be-born child to experience the same love that her daughter Isabella received.

“I just gave birth. I was pregnant last year and I know the feeling of being pregnant… I want her baby to experience the same love that my baby experienced – 'yung from the womb pa lang, sobrang good vibes [and] people are happy for you. I wanted her to feel that so I [told her], ‘If it’s okay with you, I’m gonna throw you a baby shower’ and she said thank you,” she said.

In her case, motherhood was life-changing and she wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

“Motherhood is the best thing that ever happened to me, I swear. When they say [that a mom’s love for her child] is the greatest love of all, it’s true,” she added.

She looks forward to the new chapter in Kylie’s life and assured the latter of her constant love and support.

“[To Kylie], congratulations and I’m so happy for you. I’m just here if you need me. I’m just here for anything. [To The Little Prince], I can’t wait to meet you. We’re so excited and we love you,” Mariel declared.
